That the Bolton Wanderers Reserves, to whom is to be entrusted the honour of the club in the qualifying competition for the Football Association cup, has been out practising lately, and are a grand young lot; that so well did they shape that the club’s supporters are sanguine of them carrying their senior to the real struggle, which commence on the 2nd February; that the Wanderers’ players this season will be Oliver Fairclough, goal; Bethel Robinson, Parkinson, W. Flitcroft, and Mitchell, backs; Davie Weir, Peter Bullough, W. Simmers, Frank Sugg, and Bob Roberts, half backs; James Brogan, Kenny Davenport, Thomas Coupar, John Milne, Alec Barbour, and Harry Tyrer, forwards; that Coupar and Milne are Dundee Wanderers, and arrived in Bolton last Sunday with a capital reputation, but the question will be how long will they retain it.
