Mr. John Houlding, who is the chairman of the Conservative Association in the Everton Division, is now in London. There was no meeting yesterday on either side to consider the vacancy, but it is still understood, as stated yesterday, that efforts are being made to induce Mr. J.A. Willox to come forward in the Conservative interest. The final selection will take place tomorrow (Wednesday), when there will be a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Conservative Association of the division.
