On Tuesday night a meeting was held in the Mechanics’ Institute, Darlington, to consider the advisability of forming a limited liability company with a capital of £500, in £1 shares, to carry on Association football at Darlington.
It was stated that with an amateur team they had no chance of fighting their way into the Northern League. It was agreed that the company should be formed, and steps taken to register the articles of association.
