The first contingent of players engaged by the Liverpool Association Football Club arrived in Liverpool last Friday, and will commence practice forthwith. Their names are: – Sydney Ross (Cambuslang), goalkeeper; Andrew Hannah and Duncan McLean (Renton) backs; John Miller (Dumbarton), centre forward and Malcolm McVean (Third Lanark), left wing forward, Andrew Kelvin of Kilmarnock, and Thomas Wyllie, late of Everton, are also expected in a few days, together with others of equal fame, whose names cannot be revealed at present.
