A meeting of the Lancashire Football Association was held on Wednesday at Blackpool, Mr. W. Forrest presiding. The draw for the Senior and Junior cups resulted as follows: –
Senior Cup:
Liverpool v Southport Central;
Fleetwood Rangers v Fairfield;
Heywood Central v West Manchester;
Rossendale v Nelson;
Higher Walton v Liverpool Caledonians;
** South Shore and Witton byes.
To be played on September 17th, on the ground of the first-named club. The selected clubs are: –
Accrington, Ardwick, Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool, Bolton Wanderers, Bootle, Burnley, Bury, Darwen, Everton, Newton Heath and Preston North End.
Junior Cup:
District No. 1:
Ramsbottom v Ashton Town;
Haslingden v Portsmouth Rovers;
Brierfield v Peel Bank Rovers;
Heywood Alexandra v Denton.
District No. 2:
Halliwell v Elton;
Adlington v Horwich;
Heaton v Little Lever Union;
Little Lever v Blacklane Rovers.
District No. 3:
Skelmersdale United v Platt Bridge;
Ashton-in-Makerfield v Park Lane Wanderers;
Haydock v Garswood Hall;
Bootle Athletic v Leigh.
