On Saturday the Lancashire League and Combination campaigns were brought to a conclusion, and the outcome is highly gratifying to Liverpudlians, as whilst Everton retain the Combination championship, Liverpool secure that of Lancashire on a better goal average than Blackpool, who were beaten by Southport Central on Saturday – a clever win by the Central, for which Liverpool will be ever grateful.
The cup, which weighs 200 ounces, and is a handsome trophy, was on view at the match. The cup will soon be seen in Liverpool.
