Egyptian onions in Liverpool

Egypt in the heights of her civilisation raised temples, created colours, played on instruments and worshipped cats. In these devouring days she sends us onions. To-day the last sale of the week in Liverpool of the desired vegetable will take place, and the scene in the room in Victoria Street will be of the utmost animation.
