When up at the Sandon on Saturday I was tackled by Mr William Barclay for referring to the disbandment of the Liverpool team a week ago. I am very sorry if I have given the public a wrong impression of the actual state of things.
Mr. Barclay tells me they have secured all the men of last year’s eleven they want except one; and views all these rumours in Scotland that so-and-so will throw in his lot with this or that club with composure.
He has every confidence in the men turning up for September 1.
