The Lancashire Football Association met at the Saddle Hotel, Bolton, with a fair number of representatives appearing. Mr Woolfalls, of Blackburn, occupying the chair. The amateur cup entries were postponed to December 31. The dates for the ties in the amateur cup were fixed thus: February 3, March 3, April 7, and April 21. Bootle have resigned from the senior cup, and Liverpool will supplement them. Three new juniors’ clubs were enrolled, namely, Egerton, Castleton, and Eccles St. Mary’s.
Draw for the senior cup qualifying round:
Rossendale v Higher Walton; Fleetwood Rangers v Nelson. The following have byes: Barrow, Fairfield, Heywood Central, South Shore, Southport Central, and West Manchester. The ties to be played on September 30; kick-off at 3.30 p.m.
Junior Cup qualifying round:
Division 1: Little Lever Union v Castleton; Ramsbottom v Royton; Portsmouth Rovers v Hopwood North End; Little Lever a bye.
Division 2: Cox Green Olympic v Whealton; Horwich v Adlington; Heaton v Egerton Rovers, Egerton v Farnworth Alliance.
Division 3: Leigh v Whiston; Skelmersdale v Golborne; Park Lane Wanderers v Ashton-in-Makerfield; Rooke Athletic v Haydock.
Division 4: Longridge St. Wilfred’s v Preston Athletic; North Meols v Lostock Hall; Leyland v Lythum; Skerton a bye.
To be played on September 16; kick-off at 3.30 p.m.
