Ever since the ties were drawn the competition proper for the English Cup negotiations have been proceeding between Liverpool and Grimsby with the special object of inducing the latter to play off the tie at Liverpool instead of at Grimsby, as drawn. At last Grimsby have consented to accept £100 for changing the venue alone, and they will in addition equally divide the gross gate taken at Liverpool on January 27th.
