A meeting of the council of the Football Association was held last evening at 61, Chancery-lane, London. The draw for the third round of the English Cup was made as follows: –
Bolton Wanderers v. Liverpool. Referee, Mr. John Lewis (Blackburn); linesmen, Messrs Birtwhistle (Blackburn) and Aaron Scragg (Crewe).
Sheffield Wednesday v. Aston Villa or Sunderland. Referee, Mr. C.J. Hughes; linesmen, Messrs Roberts (Derby) and Ashmole (Leicester.
Nottingham Forest v. Notts County. Referee, Mr. Robert Edward Lythgoe (Liverpool); linesmen, Messrs. Arthur Kingscott (Derby) and J. Fox (Sheffield).
Derby County or Leicester Fosse v. Blackburn Rovers or Newton Heath. Referee, Mr. Jack Howcroft (Redcar); linesmen, Messrs. A.G. Hines (Notts) and J. Brodie (Wolverhampton).
The first named clubs have choice of ground, and the round to be played on February 24.
