With a view of strengthening the team for that most unfair ordeal, the test match, Liverpool have got the signatures of no less than nine new men, the majority coming from Scotland. Gerard Dewhurst, of Cambridge University and Corinthian fame, has also promised to give his services when necessary. Liverpool meet North End in a Palatine League match today, when most probably two or three of the newcomers will be trotted out, C. Carson and John Givens included.
