In spite of the defections from their ranks in Billy Rose, George Swift, George Kinsey, and Bob Edge, Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to have as strong a team as ever for next season.
John Bell, a centre forward from Renton, has signed for them, and two other Scotchmen: John Hamilton, a left full back, from Ayr; and George Fleming, an inside left forward, from East Stirlingshire – have also been secured by the Wolves.
The “Scottish Referee” describes Hamilton as “a sturdy half-back, with any amount of ‘go’ in him,” and remarks that “Wolverhampton Wanderers are not likely to rue their bargain, as John is a stalwart.”
