Next Thursday, 23rd inst, a waggonette party of the committee, players, and friends of Liverpool F.C. journey to Ormskirk, a distance of some thirteen miles. As this is a special outing (although I understand there are a few seats left at 5s each), a very special knife and fork tea will be prepared at a special hostelry, for the special company. And then to ye old English and modern games, wherein the most skilful will reap reward. The ticket admits to all the good things provided, including the grounds, and, as I have been invited, I will go specially armed to meet the coming foe, if those whom I love in business will love me to leave them.
