The difference between Jimmy Ross and the Liverpool Club have not yet been surmounted. The secretary of the Liverpool telegraphed Ross this morning asking him to attend at Anfield Road before the game with Aston Villa, and to bring pants and boots with him. Jimmy did so, but the negotiations which were requisite for his playing in the ranks of his new club have not ended satisfactorily, and he was a spectator instead of a participator in the fray.
As Jimmy Ross has not yet played in Liverpool, cannot something be done by the North End which will secure his re-transference to North End, where, on this afternoon’s play, his knowledge and ability are very much needed.
