Billy Dunlop transferred to Liverpool

January 23, 1895
The Liverpool Football Club have secured a new player in Billy Dunlop, of Paisley Abercorn. Dunlop is twenty years of age, and plays left full-back. He is regarded as one of the best players in that position in Scotland, and several English League clubs have been vainly trying to induce him to join their ranks.

The Liverpool committee have arranged the matter in a friendly way with the Paisley Abercorn club, and a certain sum has been paid for Dunlop’s transfer. He is eligible to play in the Newton Heath match.
