Fixtures for the Test matches


April 11, 1896
At the close of the match, between English League and Scottish League, the management committee of the Football League held a meeting at Goodison Park, to decide the dates on which the League test matches be played. The following were the dates arranged: –

April 18, Liverpool – Small Heath, at Liverpool, Mr. Arthur Kingscott referee
April 20, Small Heath – Liverpool, at Smallheath, Lieutenant Simpson referee
April 25, Liverpool – West Bromwich Albion, at Liverpool, Mr. Tom Armitt referee
April 27, West Bromwich Albion – Liverpool, at West Bromwich, Mr West referee
