Thomas Cleghorn and John Holmes re-sign

May 16, 1896
Thomas Cleghorn
and John Holmes came to terms with Liverpool last Saturday, and their supporters are much pleased that their good work will be given to the future prospects of the Anfield club when September wheels around. Matt McQueen has not yet come to terms, nor for the matter of that has Davie Hannah, the difference between the employees and their employers being very little. Liverpool’s success in the Test matches will be celebrated in a little while on the return of their enthusiastic President – Alderman John Houlding – from abroad. Mr. Clementson, one of our famous universal providers of Breck Road, will no doubt present the medals to the players and trainers on the looked-forward-to occasion.
