A mild sensation has been caused in East Lancashire football circles by the fact that four Scotch members of the Darwen club have deserted and returned to Scotland. The players are Angus Mackinlay, Robert McClung, Willie Reid, and David Porteous.
Three of the men played against Manchester City on Saturday, and Reid had been relegated to the second team. The directors have decided not to fetch the men back, but to fill their places at once.
