The Liverpool club has been favoured with an invitation to participate in the Bass Charity Cup Competition, which has been accepted. There are three other competing clubs, namely, Burton Swifts, Burton Wanderers, and Walsall, so that the result appears almost a gift for the local club.
The cup is one of the most valuable trophies in the country, and in addition the winners and runners-up receive gold and silver medals respectively.
