The Burnley proposal for the extension of the Football League by four clubs has up to the present received the adhesion of seventeen clubs, viz., Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Everton, West Bromwich Albion, Liverpool, Burnley, Bury, Newcastle, Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Darwen, Lincoln, Loughborough, Newton Heath, and Preston North End. Manchester City and Woolwich Arsenal are against. Grimsby, Luton, Blackpool, and Notts Forest doubtful, and other clubs have not yet decided.
