On Tuesday, at a meeting of the Management Committee of the Football League, Edgar Chadwick, the famous Blackburn footballer, who for many years played for Everton, appealed to the committee to reduce the price of his transfer, which had been set at £200.
After deliberation, the committee reduced the sum to £40, and Chadwick, who was present, immediately signed on for Burnley.
Chadwick gained his international cap in 1891.
