Liverpool hav esecured a new centre forward. Ah! Ah! Who said we couldn’t find one? His name is Hunter; no relation, by the way to the Hunter now playing in the team, and the town of his birth Beith.
He has been highly recommended for a trial, and will first be given a chance of showing his worth on the right wing with Cox as a partner. May he prove a success.
Whilst writing about Liverpool, I must not forget to mention the fact that before going on the field at Ewood Park last Saturday the boys received a telegram from George Allan, imploring them to record their initial win of the season.
The result would be a great disappointment to Allan, poor fellow.
May he hear good news before the present week has expired.
