The draw for the second round of the cup was made at a meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Football Association, held in London on Wednesday evening, and resulted as follows: –
Aston Villa v Bristol City;
Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday;
Notts County v Bury;
Queens Park Rangers v Millwall;
Southampton v Newcastle United;
Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers or Portsmouth;
Nottingham Forest v Sunderland;
Stoke or Liverpool v. West Bromwich Albion or Walsall. Referee: Mr. J.Fox (Sheffield); linesmen: Messrs. P.J.Cropper and R.Watson.
Ties to be played February 10, kick off 3 pm.
