Expensive training cost for Liverpool

Friday, February 9 – 1900
It is stated that it cost the Liverpool team £35 a week to train at Fairhaven. They are undergoing special training, not only for the cup ties, but with the object of holding their position in the League, which is by no means assured. The Liverpool bill, high as it is, cannot be less than other Clubs are paying in their anxiety to gain possession of the cup. (Evening Telegraph, 09-02-1900)
