At Anfield the effects of the storm were such that it was early seen there would be no chance of deciding the cup tie with West Bromwich. The latter put in an appearance, but as the snow continued to fall at the advertised time for starting, a postponement was absolutely necessary. At a meeting held after this decision had been arrived at, it was decided to play the match on Saturday next. Liverpool should have met Bury in their return League game, but this game will be defolded later in the season. (Liverpool Mercury, 12-02-1900)
