Trying to track down my great grandfather Robert Brockbank Eskrigge and who he might have played for. He was from the New Brighton area and lived there until about 1900.
Hi Dave,
I did a quick search through the newspaper archives and the name Robert Brockbank Eskrigge appears in the section under “Births, marriages, deaths” in the Liverpool Echo for November 8, 1945.
The “death” note says: –
“ESKRIGGE – November 6, at the home of his daughter in Atlanta, USA, aged 77 years, ROBERT BROCKBANK ESKRIGGE – 6 A Hoscote Park, West Kirby.”
Regards,
Kjell
Ellison is Robert Ellison. Liverpool (1897-99), New Brighton Tower & St Helens Rec.
