Meeting of the Football Association (December 17, 1900)


December 17, 1900
The consultative committee of the Football Association held a meeting last evening at headquarters, 61, Chancery-lane, London, W.C., the principal business being the draw for the supplementary round of the Football Association Challenge Cup, where the ten finalist in the various divisions were drawn against the ten clubs excused before the first round of the competition proper takes place. The result was as follows: –

Reading v Bristol City. – Referee: Mr. F.H. King (London);
Grimsby Town v Middlesbrough. – Referee: Mr. F. Bye (Sheffield);
Darwen v Woolwich Arsenal. – Referee: Mr. Aaron Scragg (Crewe);
Chesterfield v Walsall. – Referee: Mr. W. Johnson (Bulwell);
Luton v Bristol Rovers. – Referee: Mr. Nat Whittaker (London);
Stoke v Glossop. – Referee: Mr. John Lewis (Blackburn);
Newton Heath v Portsmouth. – Referee: Mr. Arthur Kingscott (Derby);
Kettering v Crewe Alexandra. – Referee: Mr. J.T. Tillotson (Birmingham);
Burslem Port Vale v New Brighton Tower. – Referee: Mr. J. Fox (Sheffield).
West Ham United v Liverpool. – Referee: Mr. A. Green (West Bromwich).
