Liverpool Reserves (2-3-5): Harry Storer; John Glover, Gray John Morris; Charlie Wilson, John T. Hunter, Maurice Parry; Tom Soulsby, John “Sailor” Hunter, Alf Ferrier, John Davies, William Otty.
Padiham (2-3-5): Archie Sullivan; Dewhurst, Dickinson; Abbott + 7.
The goals: 1-0 “Sailor” Hunter, 2-0 Otty, 3-0 “Sailor” Hunter, 4-0 Davies.
** Lancashire Evening Post claim “Sailor” Hunter also scored the second goal.

At Anfield. Storer was first called upon to save, but then Liverpool made a strong attack, “Sailor” Hunter scoring. Otty getting possession of the ball, ran through his opponents, and with an open net scored the second goal. Haft-time – Liverpool, 2; Padiham, 0. The home team on resuming scored through Hunter. Davies, with a beauty, made the score 4 to love. Just after this, Sullivan effected two marvelous saves. Sailor” Hunter missed a penalty kick.
