Liverpool suspend five players

At a special meeting of the executive of the Lancashire Football Association at Blackburn last night the Liverpool club reported that they had suspended five of their players, Rab Howell, for one month, and Charles Satterthwaite, John “Sailor” Hunter, John T. Hunter, and Tom Soulsby, for a fortnight each for leaving the field during a Combination match at Padiham on the 19th inst. without the permission of the referee. The action of the Liverpool club was approved, and the referee, Foster, Accrington, who had not reported the matter, was ordered to explain.
