At the meeting of the League at Derby, on Monday, the following team was selected to represent the English League in the match with the Scottish League next Saturday at Glasgow: –

Matt Kingsley (Newcastle United), goal; William Balmer (Everton) and Jimmy Crabtree (Aston Villa), backs; Walter Bull (Notts County), Billy Bannister (Burnley), and Ernest Needham (Sheffield United), half-backs; Arnie Whittaker (Blackburn Rovers), Charles Athersmith (Aston Villa), Sam Raybould (Liverpool), Charles Sagar (Bury), and Fred Blackburn (Blackburn Rovers), forwards.
Referee: Mr. Sam Torrens, Belfast.
