Was George Livingston an Evertonian?

Hearts got £175 from Sunderland for the transfer of George Livingston. Everton’s appeal to the English League claiming this player as an Evertonian is likely to be annulled, considering that Livingston, as an amateur, only played one match for them in Edinburgh. They have no case, and Liverpool are likely to feel a bit chagrined over letting him slip.
