Liverpool’s supporters would probably use the comparative to describe their team as against their neighbours, and postulato that “great” should in their case become “greater.” At any rate they have an eyeopening list, as will be seen from the following: – Bill Perkins and J. Forrester, goal; Tom J. Robertson, Billy Dunlop, John Glover, and Don McCallum, backs; Alex Raisbeck, Maurice Parry, William Goldie, Charlie Wilson, John T. Hunter, and George Fleming, half backs; and Tom Robertson, John Walker, Sam Raybould, Charles Satterthwaite, John Cox, George Bowen, Andy McGuigan, John “Sailor” Hunter, John Davies, and William White with a little army of locals.
