The Management Committee of the Football League held a meeting at Blackburn yesterday.
Tommy Tierney (Gainsborough), late Chorley, and New Brighton, had his transfer fee reduced to £5.
The postponed Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United match was re-arranged for February 28, at Bolton: Gainsborough v Lincoln was altered from February 7th to April 15: and Blackpool v Burnley from February 7th to April 18. The matches between Newcastle and Everton (not started), Liverpool v Sunderland (abandoned twelve minutes from the finish), Gainsborough v Stockport (five minutes to play), and Manchester City v Small Heath (postponed), all on January 10, are left to be mutually re-arranged.
Small Heath and Barnsley were each fined 10s. for sending results late.
The following transfers were granted: –
Archie Turner, Derby County to Newcastle United;
James Lamberton, Bury to Bristol City;
Arthur Bridgett, Stoke to Sunderland.
J. Foulkes, West Bromwich, had his transfer fee reduced to £10: and Jesse Pennington, Aston Villa, and Seabrook, Blackpool, who applied for free transfers, were referred to the League president.
The selections of the League team to meet the Scottish League was left over till the next meeting in Liverpool on March 2nd.
