Followers of the Portsmouth Football Club will be glad to learn that Blyth has secured the signature of Sam Raybould, the well-known Liverpool centre forward. He will be a worthy successor to Sandy Brown, who has gone to Middlesbrough, and his capture has created a great sensation in League football.
Raybould is generally considered as one of the most effective pivots in the League. He is fast, clever, and reliable, and has a big reputation as a shot. Indeed, for two seasons he headed Liverpool’s goal scoring list, and this season he has also done exceedingly well.
He was secured by Liverpool from New Brighton.
