The match between Liverpool and Middlesbrough, which should have been played at Anfield, was abandoned owing to the fog which rendered football out of question. This was the most unfortunate as distinguished visitors were present, the Hon. Arthur Stanley, with a party of ladies and gentlemen from Knowsley Hall, having driven over in motors to witness the match.
