The three Liverpool players Sam Raybould, John Glover, and William Goldie complete their sentence in connection with the signing on for Portsmouth in a week. Raybould has, as has been previously stated, decided to return to the Liverpool club. Glover became a Boniface at West Bromwich, and it was anticipated in some quarters that he would join a Midland club; while the report was circulated that he and Goldie would throw in their lot with the Southern League club Plymouth Argyle.
On Wednesday however, a message from Glasgow stated that the couple will play for Third Lanark, the famous Scotch club having arranged terms with them. Their services should increase the strength of an already very powerful defence. They were much sought after by many League clubs, but Liverpool was not among the number.
