At the end of last football season Sam Raybould, William Goldie, and John Glover, it will be remembered, left Liverpool for Portsmouth, in spite of the important fact that the Lancashire Club had offered these players the maximum wage. A commission of the Football Association sat to consider the matter, and the players were forbidden to take part in football until the beginning of the New Year. Raybould, of course, has returned to his old Club, and it is now officially stated that Goldie has signed a League form for Fulham. The Southern League Club is by no means weak in defence, but the latest capture is a half back of no mean order.
