Peter Kyle transferred to Port Glasgow

April 6, 1904
Port Glasgow have signed Peter Kyle, late centre forward of Liverpool and Leicester Fosse. When Dickson met with his accident Dundee thought of engaging Kyle, but Hearts and Leicester Fosse wanted £120 for it. You are right, they were not modest. Kyle appealed to the English League, under whose jurisdiction he was, and that body ordered the Fosse to give him a free transfer. A slight reduction, wasn’t it?
