Alf West, the right back of the Liverpool Club, who was accidentally shot by his trainer at Lytham on Wednesday when preparing for a sprint, is still in danger, though the bullet has been discovered and the lead successfully removed.
The trainer is naturally much upset over the affair, the revolver having, it is stated, gone off through some unaccountable reason while he was loading it. Everyone will wish West a speedy recovery.
His value to Liverpool cannot be doubted.
