Liverpool has been for some time on the look-out for a really reliable goalkeeper to act as deputy to Ned Doig, and have now been successful. The new man is Sam Hardy, who is a native of Chesterfield, and is considered by competent judges to be out of his proper sphere when figuring in Second Division matches. There has been competition for his services.
Hardy has the youth on his side, being only twenty two years old. He stands 5ft. 10in., and weighs 12t., and is of sound physique.
