Football news from Blackpool
Yesterday John Parkinson, the popular Blackpool centre-half, for whom Liverpool played a benefit match at the end of the season, re-signed for the seasiders, who have also re-engaged John Jones, left half-back, formerly of Blackburn Rovers.
Alf Kearns, the Irish international, who last season figured at outside-right for Blackpool, has joined St. Helens Town; Tom Wolstenholme, the brother of the ex-Evertonian, has been transferred to Bolton Wanderers; and Edgar Chadwick, Alf Milward’s famous old partner, has gone to Glossop.
