Good news for Stoke

June 22, 1905
Great satisfaction is felt in North Staffordshire at the decision of the Football Association that Jack Whitley, goalkeeper, and James Bradley, left half-back, must remain servants of the Stoke club. At the end of last season both players were offered the maximum wage by the Potters, but this notwithstanding, Bradley signed for Plymouth and Whitley for Tottenham. The Association did not consider sufficient reason had been given for migration, and cancelled both agreements. Stoke have signed on Jack Miller, outside left of Wolverhampton.
