The death of Hugh McIntyre

June 29, 1905
The death is announced of Hugh McIntyre at King’s College Hospital, London. McIntyre will be remembered as a member of the Blackburn Rovers team which won the Football Association Cup for three successive seasons, viz., 1883-84, 1884-85, and 1885-86.

The deceased was a crack full back of the vigorous type of his day, and after his departure from Blackburn he occasionally was seen in the ranks of the London Caledonians. McIntyre was one of the first Scotch players to cross the Border.
