The post of financial secretary of the Woolwich Arsenal F.C. rendered vacant by the resignation of Mr. Gordon Steven, has been filled by the appointment of Mr. W.T. Weeks, who came next to Mr. Steven on the ballot list when the latter was elected to the position. Mr. Weeks has been prominent in local football for a good many years. His knowledge of the club’s accounts, acquired during some three or four seasons’ auditorship, should enable him to drop easily and naturally into his new post. He was for many years secretary of the Woolwich League, now defunct, and he is well known, in the South at any rate, as an able referee.
