George Latham, the centre-half of Liverpool Reserves, will appear in the League eleven today at Sunderland, in the left half position. Ever a worker, he has gained many friends by reason of his unassuming disposition.
He is a native of Newtown, Montgomeryshire. He served in the Boer War, and holds a medal with four bars. After receiving his discharge, he played football at the Cape, where he has many friends.
He assisted Liverpool as an amateur in 1902-3, playing outside right. Last season he found his position at centre-half. He is 22 years of age, stands 5ft. 8in., and weighs 12st. 4lb., a man of splendid build for a footballer.
