Charlie Wilson in local benefit match

September 19, 1905
Tom Bartley, of Flint, Welsh international in 1889, who has played with Glossop and Earlestown, being associated with the latter club for the last six seasons, was given a benefit match at Earlestown last evening. Bartley is a popular member of the Earlestown team, and has plenty of football left in him after seventeen years’ play. Glossop with three exceptions, had their full League team. Earlestown had the assistance at centre half of Charlie Wilson, of Liverpool.

Note: The game ended goalless.
