Bristol City yesterday secured the signatures of Fred Staniforth (forward) and Reuben Marr (half back), of Mexborough, who did so well against Leeds City in the English Cup ties. The Bristol Club have also re-engaged the following of their players of last season: –
Harry Clay and William Demmery, goal; William Tuft, Archie Annan, and Joe Cottle, backs; Peter Chambers, Arthur Spear, Billy Wedlock, and Patrick Hanlin, half backs; Billy Inghan, Fred Fenton, Willie Maxwell, Sam Gilligan, Andrew Burton, and Frank Hilton, forwards. Billy Jones (half back), last season with the City, has signed on for Tottenham Hotspur.
