The Football Association has asked for explanations from the Liverpool and Everton clubs with regard to holidays enjoyed by their players during the close season. Everton, it is understood, took the whole of their players and officials to London during the Derby week, while the Liverpool players were taken over to Paris. The suggestion is that payments made by the clubs for such purposes are infractions of the wage limit.
