Wednesday, January 23 – 1907
The death took place Wednesday afternoon in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary of William Walker, the well known Scottish footballer. At one time he was connected with the Liverpool club. He played chiefly for Leith. In the match against Vale of Leven at Edinburgh on Saturday week he was kicked in the stomach, and gradually sank. (Manchester Courier, 24.01.1907)
